Far-Out First Friday: Lovestruck

  • Louisiana Art & Science Museum (LASM) 100 River Road Baton Rouge, LA, 70802 United States (map)

Love is in the air – and this month’s evening of planetarium shows. Get ready to fall hard for Far-Out First Friday.

Heat up your night with a free 7 PM showing of Sunstruck. Travel back to the beginning of time and experience the birth of the Sun. Discover how this star came to support life, how it threatens life as we know it, and how its energy will one day fade away. Romance in the Stars, a live Sky Tonight presentation, is also included.

And at 8 PM, reconnect with your favorite Beatles tunes in a classic rock laser show that has something for everyone. Featuring fifteen Beatles classics, including A Hard Day’s Night, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Yesterday, and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, you’ll be smitten with this unique Beatles music experience.

The night is not over yet. At 9 PM, make a date with the fulldome Pink Floyd eXperience. For months we’ve been asking our audience what they would like to see in our dome, and they’ve responded. See and hear your favorite Pink Floyd songs in our first audience-curated planetarium show. Featuring Learning To Fly, Echoes, Money, Wish You Were Here, Time, Astronomy Domine, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Brain Damage, Have A Cigar, and Comfortably Numb.
