Yoshi Ishikawa, Guest Bassoon

An internationally recognized bassoon soloist and chamber musician, Ishikawa has performed at world-class venues including Beijing Conservatory International Bassoon Festival; St. Petersburg Conservatory in Russia; Tokyo School of Music; Shanghai Conservatory; Royal Northern College of Music in U.K.; Australian National Academy of Music; Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts; and Taipei National University of Arts. Currently Professor of Bassoon at the University of Colorado at Boulder College of Music, he will perform Partita No. 2 by Bill Douglas, Deux Pieces by Jean Françaix and Concerto for Two bassoons by Johann Baptist Vanhal. LSU professor Darrel Hale will accompany Ishikawa on Concerto for Two bassoons.
