What's the Difference?

Babysitter

Bayou Time defines a babysitter as an individual that a parent used for childcare, at home, on an as-needed basis. Basically, if you need childcare for less than 20 hours per week, then you'll want to book a babysitter.

Parents may request a specific babysitter, but the same person is not always guaranteed. What we do guarantee is that you'll be more than happy with anyone that we send.

Nanny

A Bayou Time nanny is either guaranteed a minimum of 20 hours per week for part-time or 32 hours per week for full-time. Nannies are available for contract in 3, 6, 9 and 12 month durations and contracts may be renewed.

Parents can expect the same person everyday when they contract a Bayou Time nanny, as well as many other advantages; such as automatic sick care, a set schedule and a guaranteed replacement within 24 hours should your nanny become sick or have an emergency.
