What's the Difference?

Babysitter

Bayou Time defines a babysitter as an individual that a parent used for childcare, at home, on an as-needed basis. Basically, if you need childcare for less than 15 to 20 hours per week, then you'll want to book a babysitter.

Parents may request a specific babysitter, but the same person is not always guaranteed. What we do guarantee is that you'll be more than happy with anyone we send.

Nanny

The terms for a Bayou Time nanny will depend on your family's needs, budget, the requirements expected of your nanny, and the type of experience you prefer him/her to have. Nannies and families’ needs are not "one-size-fits-all"; thus these requirements will vary from family to family.

Parents can expect the same person everyday when they hire a Bayou Time nanny, as well as many other advantages; a set, regular schedule and back-up care at the current rates and fees should your nanny become sick or have an emergency.
